GP sent me antibiotics which weren't at the pharmacy yesterday, my daughter is trying again now. This happened on Thursday morning then went to work for a 13.5 hr. shift and again yesterday!Hi @sillyme welcome to the forum.
I‘m afraid I can’t offer advice about how to treat your injury, but in terms of hot water generally, do you have any neuropathy or signs of loss of sensation in your feet? If so then it can be difficult to judge the temperature correctly and therefore scalding is a risk.
Are you able to call GP or pharmacist for advice?
Yes rang GP yesterday, awaiting antibiotics, also sent a photo of injury. You need to seek medical advice now.
In which case, I probably wouldn’t follow the hot/cold soak idea. I’m sure the GP would’ve mentioned if it would be something you needed to do or that would help. Hope you can manage to get hold of the antibiotics today and get on the way to recovery quickly.GP sent me antibiotics which weren't at the pharmacy yesterday, my daughter is trying again now. This happened on Thursday morning then went to work for a 13.5 hr. shift and again yesterday!
Thank you for your response, Lucy I do know about nerve damage when one has had the disease for years, so probably wouldn't have tried it, unless on the advice of my GP. Just to update you, have managed to get the antibiotics. In which case, I probably wouldn’t follow the hot/cold soak idea.
