Hi all newly registered as im having issues with my free style libre I've been using it for last 4 months the last 3 out of 4 sensors I've had issue with being that the scanner nor my phone is recognising the scanner. It starts up says scan wait 60 mins then says no sensor found ? I'm a nurse so I know its on properly and the cost of these is what erks me more but also that I have hypoglycaemia with no notice so the fact they aren't working is a safety issue any help please?

Have you contacted Abboott the makers of the sensor? They are good at replacing faulty sensors.

Hi Sian, and welcome to the forum, and I am sorry to hear of the issues that you are having around your sensors.

The only issue that I can think of is if you, like me, are using both the reader and your phone, you need to swipe with the reader first when starting up a new sensor. If you use the phone first you then will not be able to use the reader. The sensor should work but you will need to use just your phone.

I hope that works. If not it is worth contacting Abbott.

(I will see if @everydayupsanddowns is able to split these entries so that you have your own thread, so that your message does not get missed)

No they were closed unfortunately
they are open at least 5 days a week so not sure why you haven't reported either of the 3 to be honest or even reported it via the online contact form on their website xx

Hello @Sianmj

Welcome to the forum. Sorry you’ve been having a run of bad luck with your Libre sensors. Certainly worth persisting on the phone (though I suspect wait times are longer at the moment because of the pandemic)

Am I right in thinking you’ve had a number of sensors that have worked properly before these errors started occuring?

It's an unusual error message, but we have had a thread about it in the past: https://forum.diabetes.org.uk/boards/threads/freestyle-libre-not-working.73992/

For that member (you have to read to about post 35) the situation was resolved by replacing the reader.

they surprisingly aren't too bad as I reported a sensor a week past Wednesday and there was no extra waiting time and about 10 minutes on the phone, was on hold to Tesco for well over 10 minutes before getting through to someone though xx
