Wife was having bloods taken today, nurse was saying she passes convenience store on way to hospital, in window was 2 pack of Andrex selling for £7.20 and was outraged, rightly so.

Makes you sick to stomach there's people cashing in on others misery, should be named & shamed and people need to avoid shop when crisis is over.

I know what an embarrassment,I'm a carer and I'm skint and I could have made a fortune on Ebay if I had wanted too but to me it's immoral, hand sanitizer that cost 49p in Lidl was being sold for £25,but who would want to exploit people that are worried about what's happening in life

Wasnt there that couple in USA? bought something like $7,000 worth of cleaning/sanitising products - thought they could sell at huge profit on e-bay - ---until ebay shut them down, now they are stuck with a garage full they cant shift (stopping others having supplies) selfish b**^%**ds

Wife has to be very careful of catching owt like coronavirus, even before this she had to sanitise hands when outside. Price was same in Aldi for 50ml bottle, none anywhere now so today bought rubbing alcohol from ebay, don't know how much cost is usually but paid £25 for 500ml bottle, going to mix with aloe vera gel to make own.

Was that for both packs, or just the one? And £7 upwards is the normal price for some packs round here.

2 roll packs?!!! :/ Now that is pushing it.

I have just seen a bail of 18 or 24 toilet selling for £5,100 on eBay. This is really dreadful profiteering. The should be ashamed of themselves.😡

Who can afford to spend £5k just on a few toilet rolls?! I hope they can’t sell them!

My Private Eye arrived today, I have a subscription. Front cover - in huge letters - “48 Sheets of Toilet Paper FREE with this issue”

They should be ashamed - The Guardian had 55 with a bonus 12 in the Arts supplement. And another one coming tomorrow...

Been a very long time indeed since I've seen a Private Eye. Do you recall the 'Let's parlez franglais' column?

Well I suppose they are the 21st century version of Black Marketers.

Hi folks is there an area on this forum for posts about coronavirus as I can't find any on the header page for the forum,it would be nice if they were more visible?

At the moment I think it’s best that they slot into the relevant sections depending on what they are - eg Coronavirus news items in the news, jokes in the jokes section, and the majority in ‘general’. 🙂

Practically the only thing I can see are the threads on coronavirus.

:( 😡 They've ended up having to donate it.

Good! Hope it taught them (and others) a life lesson 🙄...its sickening how they try to defend and justify their abhorrent actions! Shame on them.

It is no different to people trading on the black market during the war.
I have also heard of people being scammed already by people offering to shop for them.
