I am very pleased with my latest results, since being diagnosed in February after an illness.
I was on Insulin four times a day, then after four months taken off of Insulin and put on to 2000mg a day of Metformin, I have now lost six stone and it seems I have my Diabetes under some sort of control as I am on a 1000 mg of Metformin a day.
My blood pressure is a lot lower than it was but still could do with being a bit lower, but Rome wasnt built in a day.
As you say, BP maybe a bit high. Do you measure it at home? Mine is always higher at doc’s - pretty common thing - instinctive stress at being “examined”
Congratulations on doing so well - very impressive figures apart from the BP. But you may have white coat syndrome. I have measured at home and been fine, and 5 minutes later, after a short walk to the surgery had a dangerously high BP. Funnily enough it is back to normal after the short walk home! I was advised to buy an arm BP measuring unit (not wrist), and now I measure for one week every 3 months. I am on medication for BP, but have been steady at 125/77 ish. It is important, I was told, to get the lower measure below 80.
