So popped out to the hospital as when I requested an appointment mid October I was having a rough time, last few days have been pretty good but I'm not saying that's things fixed, my first question was - I've been on the Libre 7 months now and the doctor said he'd be in touch in 6 about it so I was just wondering whether I will still receive them on prescription to which I was told yes don't worry about that, PHEW! Even though I've been dealing with higher than usual and being above 10 etc she still said its probably the best Libreview she's ever seen so it's put me at ease a little, the doctor popped his head in to see her but when he noticed it was me in the chair we had a right good natter as well, I've phoned the health centre to see if they will increase the sensors to 4 per prescription as feel like I'm constantly re-ordering with leaving time to make sure they are ready for the next time I need them, so telephone consultation with the Dr next Tuesday between 4-4:15pm, could've had the earlier time of 8:30-8:45am if I hadn't been attending said health centre at 8:40 for a nurse appointment! 🙄 xx

Sounds like a great appointment @Kaylz

Glad to hear your Libre prescription will continue. Congrats on the affirmation of your great Libreview data too 🙂

I've been so worried that I wasn't going to continue getting it on prescription but she assured me I shouldn't be worried about it at all

I know I'm far too hard on myself, I've been over 10 pre meal in the last few weeks, basal adjustments are working but its disappointing that it takes a few days, my Time In Target for 90 days isn't the worst, 0% > 13.3, 16% 9,1-13.3, 83% in my target of 3.9-9.0 and 1% <3.9 but I feel in myself it should be better no matter what they tell me lol
xx

Those TIR stats exceed the ‘ideal’ suggestions by a panel of international experts. Did you see that thread I posted a while back? I’ll go and find it...

Yes Mike I did see that, I even wrote it down in my book that I keep my annual results and hba1c's in lol

I know I need to relax and things are never going to be "perfect" but its putting the thoughts to practice that's the hard part for me haha, I am feeling better now with her comments though so I'll try and go easier on myself
xx

Well done Kaylz good to hear your Libre is continuing, keep at those figures it will come good eventually. xx

Oh they are good Ted but I feel like after having so much c**p to have dealt with already I NEED to do better :( xx

Kaylz pleased to hear about the libre continuing. Can I also say you sound to me like you are very hard on yourself, take a deep breath and give yourself a pat on the back for what you have achieved despite all the difficult times and challenges you have been though.

Hi @Kaylz, only just seen this post. Great review and well done. As @Grannylorraine says you are much too hard on yourself. I think you manage your T1 brilliantly and should rightly be really proud of yourself. Despite all the personal problems you have had you have kept on top of things, something we can all aspire to. Very pleased to hear you will continue to get your prescriptions. Xx

Thanks hun, yes I am far too hard on myself, think my new year resolution should be to relax a little, hope your feeling better!! xx

@Grannylorraine and @SueEK you are both so lovely and I have to admit I just got a bit teary at your replies

Thank you both so much! :D

Thanks Kaylz, don’t know about you but I find it much harder to think good things about myself. Having had clinical depression a number of times over the years I work hard at seeing the good in myself rather than the bad. Thankfully I have people around me who appreciate me and those that continually wore me down have been put on the back burner, sadly that includes my younger sister but that’s just how it is.
You come across as a strong caring person so I hope you can see this yourself xx

@SueEK I used to be a confident person but since being diagnosed I've lost all that, I don't feel good about myself with bruising from injections, I don't feel anything like I used to, I suffer anxiety and it gets really difficult at times but I'm sure I'll get there one day xx

I’m sure you will, stay strong, we are all here for you as you know xx

Kaylz you really are doing brilliantly. I'm glad that you had such a good review and that you've got to keep your Libre x
