I had the same @Stitch when my foot got squished in a cycling accident date that was a long time before D arrived. I hope they come up with a good plan.

Having Physios at the GP sounds good. We have a waiting time of about 10 weeks!

What a drag, Stitch! Are you still under warranty? 🙂

Glad you’ve been able to get a definitive diagnosis @Stitch147 - hope they can come up with a successful treatment plan at your next appointments.

Had my follow up appointment today with the physio at gp surgery. Now we know what the problem is a mortens neuroma, he has given me some exercises to do and is referring me to a podiatrist to have cortisone injection to try and reduce the swelling in the nerve. Fingers crossed it will do the trick. Worse case scenario is removal of the nerve which will leave me with no feeling in that area of the foot, not something I want. He did warn me it might be a long wait for podiatrist appointment though. Ibuprofen gel in the meantime for when it gets painful.

Good luck, Stitch! At least yr HCP's seem to have things in hand.

Hope you don’t have to wait too long Stitch and let’s hope a cortisone injection helps so that you don’t need the nerve removed. Stay well in the meantime .
I had a letter from the podiatry team saying that they had my referral but due to the long wait they would write to me again when an appointment became available so I won’t hold my breath, hope yours will be quicker than my looks to be xx

Stitch I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope that the injection works. Big hugs xx

Got my appointment through today for a podiatry appointment, 30th October, so not too far away. It's an assessment appointment so hopefully a plan will be put together then for treatment.

I hope the appointment goes well for you x
