my t1 partner has been admitted to hospital twice recently and he is in key tones now again. Please any advice he’s reluctant to hospital again. Insulin just isn’t working

If he has ketones and insulin isn't bringing BG down then hospital is the only answer I'm afraid.

Once he is stable he needs help with working out why this keeps happening E. G forgetting medication, insulin out if date, eating too much, wrong dosage, infection... But get him to A and E first, then get him to sign up here!

Hope your partner is soon feeling better.
Has he done the basics by changing his insulin and checking his pens are working OK?

How is your partner now?

When you say insulin isn’t working, do you mean in respect of getting his BGs down or that it’s causing his number to rise in the first place?

Hi Yvonne

How is your partner now?
Once the present issue is sorted, he needs to get help to prevent this happening again.
There should be a specialist team at the hospital that he can be referred to, which would be a good start.
There is also plenty of help and support available on here.
