Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I was diagnosed on a couple of Fridays ago with type 2 and have spent the last week or so finding out as much as I can. I'm Looking forward to learning more about it and how to cope with it. along with the do's and do not's, More importantly, what can and can't eat.

Hello and welcome to the forum from another Cornish resident.

Hello @Gunnster70. Welcome to the forum. You possibly don’t think so right now but we get to eat good tasty meals. You have also come to the right place for info and cyber support. Ask all the questions you need to about diabetes and we’ll do our best to help.

A little more info will help us give you the best advise.
Have you been prescribed any meds for diabetes.
How did you come to be diagnosed.

Welcome Gunnster from a fellow T2

Welcome @Gunnster70 🙂 Changing the diet is really not as bad or as hard as you might think, I am now a year into my diabetes and loving my diet more than ever, I would never go back to the carb heavy food I used to eat, don’t miss the bloating or the weight  it took a while to get my head around what foods worked best for me, testing was so important and tracking my results in a food diary quickly gave me insight into what I needed to ditch or adapt.
