hi there
Can anyone recommend the best slow releasing thing for my son to eat for snack or supper for before bedtime to help keep a steady blood sugar level in the night any suggestions please!!!!!!! Mother of 6 yr old son with type 1 diabetes diagnosed March 2018

I used to have a slice of bread/toast with peanut butter before bed - the fat in the peanut butter slows the digestion/release of glucose from the bread making it a slow, steady release 🙂

Thank u il give it a try
Or cheese on toast, same reasons 🙂 Not sure how much 6 year olds like that though 😱 🙂 However, if he regularly drops then it's important to check with his slow-acting/basal insulin is set correctly - might need adjusting 🙂
