Went to see the nurse to discuss bloods today , first thing see said “ I am going to call you diabetic, cause that’s what you are “

Welcome to the forum Kev.
There is plenty of help on here from people with loads of experience of managing their Diabetes effectively.
Well worth a read through some of the past posts, but also just ask any questions that you have. No questions are considered silly on here.
 
Hi I was diagnosed 2 days before Christmas. Was told on the phone by the Drs receptionist! I wasn't impressed but was told by the nurse 'we have no secrets here.' Followed by, don't have honey in your yogurt, look after your feet and do you want to go on a course! Thank goodness for sites like this!
