Hey all another question. (sorry) just going onto 3 a day so how long between each one for I have?

Doubt that it matters much. Doesn't really have much short-term effect, I think, rather building up over time. Probably the most important thing is how well you tolerate it & maybe taking it with meals helps with that.
 
I don’t know if the advise is different now but back in the 90s when I was increasing my dose to three Metformin a day I was advised , to take one at breakfast, lunchtime and dinner ,
When I went onto the max dose it was two with breakfast two with dinner.

It’s advised to always take with or meals

Cheers Eddy seem to be tolerating 2 quite well apart from burping a lot!

Hi,

I am on Metformin (4 per day) and was advised two in the morning, two in the evening and either with food or just after. Is there no advice on your Metformin box? Been on four for a few months - not much of a problem it does seem to work well with my BGLs (when I test) From my reading seems Metformin is a bit of a wonder drug - good for the heart, might fight Alzheimer. Hey, who knew??.

I fought to stay on metformin for that reason.
