Hello peanut2018, welcome to the forum. 🙂

Hello and welcome @Peanut2018 , glad you found us 🙂

You're definitely in the right place to speak to people who 'get' diabetes and all its variety 🙂

How long have you been diagnosed and how are things going for you at present ?

Lovely to hear from you. Type 1 for 26 years , Insulatard and Actrapid

Type 1 for 26 years. On Insulatard and Actrapid. Think i’m going through peremenopause and wondered if anyone has experience of coping with diabetes and the wonders of middle age womanhood!

Hi Peanut and welcome to the forum. 🙂 Ooh, Actrapid - I haven't used that for well over 10 years. I thought most people were shifted onto NovoRapid. Sorry, for obvious reasons :D can't help with the perimenopause question but I'm sure there's plenty who can. 🙂

Thanks Matt. I find the Actrapid good. Did you have issues then with it?

Not really but despite it's name compared to NovoRapid it was just a bit well, slow really. I used it from 1987 to around 2005/6 but Novo had then brought out NovoRapid and the DSN asked me to try it. I've been on that ever since.

Welcome peanut.
One of the advantages of being in this forum, is it drops in bits of info about things that are becoming available. I fOund our about the Libre sensors by being on here. I was persuaded to try out a pump as well, and now would never want to go back to Multiple Daily Injections.

Yes it’s just good to feel like you’re not on your own. I’m not a member of any groups so this is helpful and comforting.

Hello Peanut2018, I too have just joined the group. and hope to find it helpful.
Welcome Beardiemum
If you haven’t done so it would be good to start a new post in the newbies to introduce yourself.
