I was wondering if anyone has recently moved from the old Accu Chek Spirit Combo pump who may have a few spare flexlink cannulas and pump cartridges available?

I am about to move onto a new type of pump, but the diabetic clinic will not purchase anymore to cover me until the new one arrives and I really do not want to go back on injections for a few weeks.

You need to insist that they provide you with the consumables.
Put in a formal complaint pointing out they are refusing to provide the consumables for you to operate your life support system (pump)
I wouldn't worry about reusing the cartridges either.

The clinic at the hospital have to provide access to consumables for you. They must have others on Combos and usually have a few cannalas in stock. Are they really expecting you to go back to MDI while you wait?

Bit of a long story, but because my pump is out of warranty they will not. I have used all the outstanding stock they have, but had nothing for months, but just trying to get cover for a few weeks. I am happy to pay postage or buy a box of each, if anyone happens to have any spare. It is frustrating. Many thanks

I am angry on your behalf! They should let you order some, then they could use them to replenish their spare stock if it turns out you don’t need them any more. I would be arguing very strongly against this prohibition.

Sorry but if they let you use an out of warranty pump then they must provide the consumables.
Go directly to your CCG and demand an explanation from them.

I have both, I tried the flex link and didn't like it so went with the d link, and cartridges are not in short supply, where abouts are you?
