V popular meter & the one that is regularly recommended for those who have to self fund (fortunately I still get my strips on NHS but will get one if that source drys up)

I have one as my back up meter.

I use one as a spare, love it, only had one faulty strip that said Lo last week for some reason, ususally says the same as my accu chek nano

Yep, me too and I get my strips from the Home Health website 🙄

I'm still on 1/2 an 80mg Gliclazide twice a day and hopefully come off that and stick with Metformin. That would be the end of my prescription test strips ( not buying accu-chek strips, I'm sure they must have platinum in them for that price)....then I will order a codefree and 100s of test strips and pay for them happily as I think it's a good tool even though Doctors are 'Meh' about testing yourself. Sod that. 🙂

If you are on Gliclazide - they should be providing you with meter and strips - if you are driving - you absolutely need to.

Yes - but you also said "...if that source drys up..." - was pointing up defence of continued supply.
