Only used a couple of times when I was at school. Long time ago 😱. No Dextrose tablets in them days. I always have my DEX tabs in my pocket these days 😉

In the teachers desk with my supply of Fruit Pastels in. Safety gadget ? In the 60s :D

Can't imagine you would be likely to find many hypo treatments kept in tobacco tins at school these days @HOBIE ! Did you have support with injecting insulin while you were in school?
You were diagnosed before you would have even started school, right?

It was fixed insulin in them days. I HAD to eat 50g carbs every meal 😱. My mother had a job getting the carbs into me ready to go to school. I still do not like eating. 6pts of Milk a day when I was young, (Strong bones & teeth) 🙂

Do people know what 50g of carbs is ? Every meal. A pump means so much to me & I can now choose what I want to eat 😎.

Wow. Did they not absorb the tobacco smell?

I remember reading about James Norton the actor who had to sew hidden pockets into his shakespearean costumes when on stage so he could have something glucose hidden on his person.

I wonder what other little tricks people have in their lives.
