hi Hi everybody peeps 🙂🙂
Been on a lower carb, higher fat diet with some great results both with weight loss, and lower bg results..I still have to lose some weight but when I'm finished with try lose weight , are my BG likely to go up ..?

That completely depends on if you are planning to stick with the same diet etc, anything and everything can effect BG levels so we are all likely to have some good days and some bad days xx

As long as you stick to what you have been doing and don’t start eating so called naughty things there is absolutely no reason for your BGs to rise. Also the fact you have lost weight means that you probably won’t be as insulin resistant and your own insulin will have a better chance of working. When you have got to your ideal weight just add more protein to your diet to stop you loosing more weight. Keep up the good work.

I'm still worried about when I'm meant to go on a maintenance diet, add protein means little to me without adding everything else that might come with protein

You will be fine, have a look on the recipe pages @Mark Parrott and @Bubbsie make some fabulous low carb meals and breads.

I found my weight loss settled down after a while. I've stayed about the same weight for a while now & stuck with the same diet.

I can't stick with a reducing diet, when I need a maintenance diet..

From what I've seen of others Martin, it's a question of making small adjustments to what you are currently doing to slow the weightloss and then level out roughly where you want to be. Some people add a few carbs in at this point. For others it's adding more protein and fats.

I know people who have been eating low-moderate carb for a decade or more, and they have found a balance that is weight neutral and BG friendly. I'm sure you will too 🙂
