Just been to Asda to buy new " underpinnings" ahead of our cruise to Start Petersburg and guess what, down from an eighteen to fourteen.
Been on low carbs since mid January and knew I had lost weight but didn't know how much as I hadn't weighed myself for several years.
Wanted to share the good news with someone.

That's great! I lost weight too when I didn't weigh myself for about 6 months. The first scales I bought after that I took back, thinking they were faulty. The replacement scales said exactly the same. It took me a while to believe it o_O

Enjoy St Petersburg, we loved it. Don't miss Peter the Great's tomb.

Great news @JMyrtle / brilliant that all your hard work is paying off.

Have a wonderful holiday 🙂

Great news Jackie, good for you! 🙂 Have you been to St Petersburg before? If not, you'll love it - beats Moscow into a cocked hat any day, so much to see and do! 🙂 I was there when it was still called Leningrad! 😱 🙂

We sailed into St Petersburg a few years ago, and were amused to see that the cruise terminal still had a large, grim and grey concrete sign firmly pronouncing 'Leningrad' at the entrance.

That's fantastic news Jackie. Well done on that amazing achievement xxx

Well done!
The numbers on those labels mean so much! They shouldn’t, but they do! Have a lovely holiday.

Just wish my b/g levels would do the same.
Pre breakfast test all between seven and eight now, pre dinner all under six and two hours after dinner between six and eight apart from one day when will had a tooth out when it jumped to eleven.!
The odd thing is that it seems what ever I eat the readings don't vary very much.
One day I ate no carbs all day and the readings were exactly the same as the day I went to a party and ate all the things I shouldn't off the buffet.
How can I get readings the of under five iishould have if i I cannot reduce my carbs any further, surely my liver should have run out of stored glucose by now.
The other odd thing is that even after three months I am still getting false hypos, all the symptoms, intense hunger, giddiness, hot and cold sweats, feeling sick but when I test my readings are between six and seven, how long does it take for your body to adjust itself to the lower b/g levels, sometimes I get so " hungry" but I know it's a false alarm.
