Hi @Poppie i really hope you get out of your appointment what you want. But I would add try not to stress over medication if you are asked to try it remember it’s there to help us control our diabetes not a punishment. Best of luck and welcome to the forum.

couldn't put that better myself, when first diagnosed (with a HBa1c of 109) 23 months ago I was put straight onto a basal insulin and then Metformin as well.
my first thoughts were I hope this doesn't last for long but based on the figures i am getting on my meter I am coming around to thinking "hey if this is working I don't want to change".
