OK so last time I said I was back I wasn't. I wasn't ready to commit to trying. I've been avoiding testing my sugars and been guessing insulin doses. I only really test if I feel really high or really low. I'm dreading my hba1c because some days my sugars have been high 20s, low 30s.

My mental health team have been on training on diabetes and think a pump would help me regain control and help me manage my sugars better. I'm seeing my consultant on the 30th. Fingers crossed eh

I'm ready now though. The cramps keep me up all night along with constantly peeing and blurry vision. I'm also really irritable and taking it out on my friends. I'm sick of being this way. I'm committed to sorting it out!

Sorry to see this hun, good to see you've got a positive attitude towards sorting it out though, that's the first step after all, good luck with your consultant appointment, I'll have my fingers crossed for you! Oh and welcome back! 🙂 xx

I'm sorry you're still struggling and not feeling great.

Good for you @Rosiecarmel! Small steps, Marathon not a sprint and all that.

Hope the appointment goes well. Great to hear your MH team are getting clued up on diabetes.

Hi Rosie and good to see you back...again. :D Hope you and your team can get things sorted for you. 🙂

Well done Rosie for taking the decision to start on the long haul of improving your health. You sound so positive and although it is not going to be easy you have some good support. You can do it and you will. Hope your appointment goes well. I often think that the first step is the hardest and that is behind you. Go for it and Good luck! 🙂

In the past I've tried writing things down to help in appointments. I also dropped of letters, addressed to specific people at my GP practice, including the nurse I see for diabetes.

Hi Rosie
Great to have you back here, and good to hear your mental health team are getting clued up on D.
Any questions about the pump, just ask.

Good to see you back, @Rosiecarmel. Hope you can get everything sorted.🙂

You're doing great. I think most of us have times where we just don't want to know and bury our head in the sand. You're doing the right thing now, keep going 🙂
