Speaking of eggs...since I started this baking lark...I am using so many now...bought a dozen yesterday...off shopping in a moment...I need to buy more already.Eggs should be kept in the actual fridge & not in the door. This is down to the varying temperature when opening & closing the door which causes eggs to go off quicker.
Kaylz...I'm amazed how many I'm getting through...it must be a couple of dozen in the last few days...mostly in the baking...so need to double the amount I'm buying...lots of experimenting today.Since Monday I've eaten 13 eggs myself!! 😱
We don't keep our eggs in the fridge normally, they aren't around long anyway!xx
Think I'll start buying a dozen at Aldi at the start of each week haha, I'm having a boiled as a snack mid morning everyday at the moment so that's where my problem lies! 🙂, caved and had a babybel last night getting ridiculous! xxKaylz...I'm amazed how many I'm getting through...it must be a couple of dozen in the last few days...mostly in the baking...so need to double the amount I'm buying...lots of experimenting today.

Good for you...I'm buying so many at the moment.I'm glad all my eggs are free. Getting half a dozen a day at the mo.🙂
Wow never heard that before Mark. Mine live in the door where less likely to get broken, time for a rethinkEggs should be kept in the actual fridge & not in the door. This is down to the varying temperature when opening & closing the door which causes eggs to go off quicker.
I keep them in egg boxes at the back of the fridge. Less likely to get broken that way.Wow never heard that before Mark. Mine live in the door where less likely to get broken, time for a rethink
Cheers for that 🙂 xxOH has a cafe producing egg mayo for sandwiches and JPs. He boils up 3 or 4 at a time and stores them in door of fridge for up to 5 days, in accordance with food hygiene regs.
I then get to eat any left over that he is not allowed to sell.
So far with no ill effects
