something that hadn’t crossed my mind until they asked this morning. So making home made beef burgers with mozzarella melt in the middle. Herb turkey fillets, veg and halloumi kababs. some nice fin cut steak and salad with couscous( whole wheat) sausages for the kids

Sounds delicious! *dribble*

Great thing about BBQs is that all those lovely meaty things are very kind on the BGs. Of course there are those who worry about anything grilled/fried where the thing blackens/changes colour (can’t remember why now!) but for my money, we have so few decent sunny days in the UK we may as well make the most of them!

Love a good BBQ Bring it on down :D

What time should I be there for? :D xx

You could use a grilling stone or a repurposed slate roof tile to make the BBQ. In this case extra point if you make the barbecue with cinderblocks.

My kids also want one! As they are both in their 20s, I've told them that's fine, get on with it! I will provide an oven cooked but not browned chicken for them to finish off on the BBQ, thus hopefully avoiding food poisoning!

We cook whole chickens on the barbecue with no problems, but we have a smoker, so can cook with the lid down & not directly over the flames, so cooks more slowly & thoroughly.🙂

You’re all more than welcome but you may have to fight my oldest(16) for the food he doesn’t like sharing 🙂

It was all lovely kids enjoyed it I felt guilty after I haven’t eaten that much since diagnosis I didn’t have a load but it just felt wrong.

Why on earth would you feel guilty...a good healthy meal...enjoying a family afternoon so a great stress buster...stop feeling guilty & think about what a great Bank Holliday you've had...such a contrast to the previous couple of weeks.

Just me it was a lovely evening and everything was healthy compared to what it would have been 2 weeks ago.

I like making homemade burgers and putting a mini babybel in the middle of them.
