I’m looking for charities or organisations that are around undiagnosed diabetes?

I have recently posted about my son being undiagnosed diabetic which resulted in DKA and him passing. He was 27 and I would like to find charities that are more focused on this rather than those that are centred around when people are already diagnosed. I hope that makes sense - just somewhere or something that relates to our story and that we can get involved in.

Thank you

I am so sad to read about the passing of your son at 27. Please accept my condolences, and sending you my love. Sorry don't know of any charities, but I hope someone can help you.

I wonder if you could tell your tragic story for this Awareness Day Helen. What happened to your son is the kind of absolutely crucial information people need.

I think you’ll struggle to find organisations specifically dedicated to the undiagnosed to be honest because the truth is, people don’t usually react and campaign until it affects them. Good luck. Your son’s experience needs to be heard.
