Just wanted to thank the forum for all the amazing support you have provided over the years.

I was at the Diabetes UK conference last week, and there were several presentations that focussed on the pivotal role peer support and social media can have in helping people live with a challenging long term condition like diabetes.

Keep at it folks. You are doing an amazing job. Just keep being kind to each other 🙂

Aw, that's nice Mike! One always tries and hopes it helps, difficult to know sometimes though .....

(Although thinking about it - I have quite frequently been told I can be very trying - but never realised that was actually a compliment ....)

Thanks Mike,
First diagnosis is a very lonely and frightening place to be.

I was there Saturday! I agree, this is a great forum to be part of.

Thirded! And moderating us lot at times must seem like a thankless task, but you do a great job!

This forum altered my outlook on my diabetes completely, suddenly there were people who were trying to do something about it! I could never have got a pump, never have thought I could make the difference. I still don't have the control I would like (far too little!) but I'm sure psychologically I am in a completely different place from where I could be. Entirely down to members of this forum, including and especially you Mike! (Are there any reports on that side of the conference, I did make Saturday)
