I am seeing my new consultant on Friday and just rang to get my results. Hb1Ac is 34 or 5.3 and total cholesterol is 5.6 with LDL at 1.9, kidney and liver all good. I was told statins are essential but heard that before and will politely decline them!
A celebration will be happening this weekend, planning it now!

Yay, great results. My GP has ditched having the statin conversation with me these days (finally!) she knows my feelings about them, and agrees my ratios are fine.

Congrats (As a complete not understanding numbers Novice I can see you're happy so I'll run with it 🙂 )
I keep hearing about Statins, my doc put me on Avrosomethingstatin straight away and now I hear they're a bit dodgy, think I'll ask him about them.....this is why the forums good for info, makes you question things. Cheers.

Thanks and I am such a idiot it is Thurday, so luckily I checked! I have just had the worst few days for hypos ever so expecting to be told it should be higher. I will ask him to look at the readings for the last few months and see it is a untypical week!
