ive been getting red blotches on the side of my belly after injection, it only lasts a couple minutes. Is it an allergic reaction?

I guess it could be a sensitivity to the lubricant on the needles, or the insulin itself.

You could 'airshot' a small amount of insulin onto the skin to see if a reaction occurs.

If concerned I would speak to your Nurse/GP about it.

Hi @Likeyou, welcome to the forum 🙂 What is it that you are injecting, is it insulin? How long have you been injecting? As @everydayupsanddowns suggests, I would mention it to your GP/nurse if things don't improve.

If it were a true allergic reaction to the insulin, you would get more generalised symptoms, so I tend to agree with Mike. You aren’t using anything to clean the skin before injecting are you?
