The electric was off for just under an hour, having never been in this situation before since being diagnosed, will my insulin that is in the fridge still be ok? As I say probably just being paranoid 😳

If your fridge was made this century it’ll be fine, don’t worry. Mine stays cool for 12 hours in a power cut, the freezer is OK for 24 hours. That’s as long as you don’t open them.

Just as MikeyB says - if electricity cuts out, try to leave fridge door shut. An hour off is nothing to worry about.

Yeah it's only ever really opened to put insulin in, or get a new cartridge or pen out, or to put a few tins of juice in, thanks guys, didn't think it would be a problem but just wanted to check and make sure 🙂 x

I worry about stuff like this all the time. I keep some in my mums fridge in case there’s a fire or something at our house!

You need to find a fridge you can trust ha! I’ve alwsy been like this. When I was a child I had a bag with stuff incase our house burnt down. I hate the thought of having only my pjs left! X

Good God - how risk averse are you Pheebs? LOL

I don't wear any PJ's and quite frankly couldn't care less who saw my body if my life depended on it! (They might require counselling afterwards but doubt if I would!)

@PhoebeC I do trust the fridge lol, its MY supply fridge haha, the fridge freezer has everyone else's stuff in, and me on the opposite to you I wouldn't mind just having pj's! Haha x

Ah but I’m sure I heard a rumour that you quite enjoy letting it all hang out Jenny! :D

Much comfier than clothes most days mate! Even I have to draw a line this weather, outside though. We don't do it that often at home though - living on a main road with a bus stop outside the front has its drawbacks. And even first thing when we roll out of bed, ever since we replaced the suite and bought a leather one!
