So for the last week I have been on Antibiotics and also my knees and ankles have been aching badly is this a effect of the antibiotics or is it diabetes related my levels have been between 4-5 before meals and 7-8 2 hours after apart from 1 blip (celebration in the family) any ideas

Could be unrelated to both Lisaa. Your levels are very decent and the aches could be arthritis or joint or muscle issues.

It's very strange as it's only came on this last week, and it's behind my knees that ache and my ankles and feet not when walking just bending etc

What antibiotics are they Lisaa?

Flucloxacillin

Should be ok on penicillin Lisaa. I asked because the quinolone type antibiotics (which you are not on), are renowned for causing tendon type problems. My friend was bedfast for months after taking them when her Achilles’ tendons were badly affected.

Have a word with your GP is the problem persists Lisaa.

Okay thanks I have a appointment for next week, do you think it's related to my diabetes then

I have my feet checked every 8 weeks by my podiatrist she checks with the Doppler and she says my feet are fine, but this aching is so strange it's like now I have my feet up on the sofa legs out straight all ok bend them and they ache

Asked your doctor. Or nurse. Take a note of all your medication with you. When I was prescribed antibiotics earlier this year I was told to stop taking Avovastating while on antibiotics.
