As much as you may want one, a drink wouldn’t help at all with high triglycerides Ingressus. Alcohol is one of the reasons for high trig levels so try not to give in to the temptation. Triglycerides are an important measure of heart health but your doctor could (and this is only a guess on my part), be ordering an abdominal scan to take a look at your liver. Sometimes, people with diabetes can have a fatty liver and this can be linked to high triglycerides. I have this. Don’t panic, these things can be brought under control but they need to start getting your diabetic levels stabilised. Best wishes.

Thank you so much

Sorry you're having such a rough time of it :( hopefully it's just a precaution and all is well. I understand you want to drown your sorrows, but stay away from the drink, also alcohol is a depressant, so not a good idea if you already feel down.

Gosh Simon you're going through the mill at the moment aren't you! Sorry you're having to face this - I know it must be stressful for you but try to remain positive and focus on the things that *are* in your control right now - keep us updated on how the scan and your appointment on the 31st goes 🙂

Simon I'm so sorry that you are having such a hard time. I know that it's easier said than done but I hope you find some good things to do whilst you are waiting for the next test.

Ack! That’s rubbish Simon. Sorry to hear that :(

Hope the tests come through soon and clear up your worries.

I hates that word abnormal! Reminds me of the film where Gene Wilder puts an abnormal brain in his Frankenstein! 😱

They just could be professional and say they're a bit 'iffy' would sound much better and not worry you so much. Roll on the tests and let's hope for good results.

‘Iffy’ sounds more like a kipper that’s gone off to me Ditto! Lol :D
