Pretty sure I have anyway, the joys. Aching so much, pretty much the only symptom I don't have is a fever.

It all started on Friday night - Saturday I spent in denial (sneezed a lot at my horse, lol), Sunday I attempted to go out and fell asleep on a table (woops). Admitted defeat Sunday afternoon and have been in bed ever since.

Ironically I had my flu vaccination a week ago, guess I've just been unlucky.

The aching/sore joints is by far the worst thing getting to me, does anyone have any advice re easing this?? My BGs are running on the high side but I'm responding nicely to corrections so it hasn't been as awful as it could have been (so far). Feel a little bit like it's going to my chest so going to go to doctors tomorrow if I can get an appointment. Any magic cures or words of wisdom much appreciated!

Hope you fight it off soon. The only thing that I have found remotely helpful is Lemsip type tablets or drinks.

Thank you, I will have a dig around and see if we have any in the house 🙂

Be careful of the drinks though as they probably have sugar in them now I think of it.
Desperate times call for desperate measures! Lol :D

I hope you feel better soon. Lots of rest and testing is probably best.

Thank you! Definitely resting up, I slept from 8pm Sunday night to 3:30pm today!! I had set alarms to test luckily as I did need corrections every time one went off!

Sorry to hear you’re

I hope you feel much better soon.
To be honest I think you should phone for a telephone appointment and if the gp wants to come out fine but I’d avoid going to the surgery if you can ,lots of sick people there plus you might spread flu.

Personally I don’t like taking concoctions, I rely on paracetamol for aches, pains and high temperature, Or Aspirin if you can take it (I can’t) and if needed a no sugar cough remedy.
It’s best to keep up fluids too.

Sorry to hear you've been unlucky in encountering one of the flu strains not in this year's immunisation.
Sounds like you're doing the right things, as it's all about symptom control, with shortening on flu episode much more difficult to achieve. Insulin is useful for correcting higher blood glucose levels. However, sleep is also really important, so balance between alarms to test and need to sleep can be tricky.
