Do any of you guys use anything to make sure it stays on? x

Only if I go swimming. That's the only thing that has weakened the adhesive in my case. I asked my friendly local pharmacist what he could recommend. He was fascinated with the Libre having never seen one! He sold me some very thin transparent plastic plasters. The only trouble is, if they do come loose I can't remove them as they stick firmly to the sensor so my
OH has to cut round the sensor so I can stick another one on. I think someone else recommended cutting a hole in the size of the sensor but I am not dexterous enough to manage that!
Mostly the glue sticks very firmly and I have trouble getting them off at the end of the fortnight!

I'm getting rather paranoid and I've not even got it yet! Lol, would clear micropore tape be ok? x

Not sure it would actually help. The sticky on the Libre is far stickier I think!

Ok great thanks for that! 🙂 x
If you ring them up they have a list of extra sticky stuff! Can't remember now what they suggest. I will ring them on Tuesday and need to ask for me so will let you know.

I always use micropore tape over mine, I find if you accidentally catch the edge of the Libre it can ping it loose, and a strip of micropore prevents it catching in the first place. I agree, though, sometimes the micropore comes loose before the Libre adhesive!

I put a tubi grip over mine when I was working, I'm annoyed at myself for not keeping it on at other times, because I did dislodge mine when I swiped in the car on a bumpy country lane.

Tape def helps to protect the edges but I've not had any problems with the adhesive om the sensors themselves. Just be careful with sleeves when dressing/undressing and getting dried after a bath or shower.

... and tight bra straps and swimming costume straps

Some sensors stay on better than others, we used Tegaderm when we had a couple of dodgy ones and now just stick one on anyway, then hopefully we don't have to worry about it. My local chemist used to sell them to me for 52p each, I've also now found that you can buy them in bulk on Amazon which works out just slightly less each, if you know you're going to use them. I can post you a couple to try if you like, if you PM me your address. If you're really cheeky you might be able to add them to your prescription, I know a couple of people who've done that! I personally think we cost the NHS enough as it is though and think that 52p a fortnight isn't much. I don't find micropore to be strong enough!

Are you sure that would be ok? That would be lovely of you and great! xx
