I have done five years with D. It has been, and for me, always will be a struggle in the sense that I have to keep at it. But I have had 5 years free of any medication so I feel that I have done a reasonable job. When I started off my HbA1c was about 18.5 and is now 6.5. I know it is not perfect but this is a work in progress. All that I have done has been inspired by the lovely people on this forum who have helped and taught me so much and as they say "always been there for me". I will always be grateful to everyone who has taken the time to talk to me and given me such good advice. Thank you does not seem enough ...🙂

Happy diaversary from me too! Here's to many more med free years.

Happy diaversary @happydog . Don't forget you've done all the hard work to get your great results. Here's to many more years with no meds.

Happy Diaversary @happydog! You've done a terrific job over the years, and I'm fully aware of all the negativity you've had from healthcare professionals - hopefully we have been more than able to outshine that with our support and encouragement 🙂 I hope you continue to manage things well long, long into the future! 🙂

That is a fantastic achievement ! 6.5 is 48 in new money which shows you have excellent control !!!

Hi Paul, it's probably best to start your own thread for your questions, as things can get overlooked in other topics. Have a look in the 'Welcome' section for some tips on how you can use the forum:
