I have used search engines before and permanently comes up with different results for the same things, this being another reason I'm not comfortable with trying things, unfortunately the mental issues are a big problem and its not just as easy as eat more xPlease can I suggest you consult a website to find that information?
If you use search engine for terms cayenne pepper, nutritional information, plus UK, so you get easy to understand units and avoid the confusion over cups, fibre etc in USA websites.
Unless you have a pot of cayenne pepper in your house, of course - then look at label.
Please remember that you will be putting a tiny amount of pepper on cheese and toast, so carbohydrate content will be negligible. For you, it's more important that you eat more cheese and toast!
Haha thanks Robin I liked my spice but I don't think I'd handle that! Lol xAccording to myfitnesspal, having looked up various brands, it either says zero, because they've rounded it down for the amount you'd use, or 1g of carb per teaspoonful. (I defy anyone to have anywhere near that amount and survive!) So I'd count it as zero and go ahead. I usually have Worcestershire sauce on mine, and ignore any carb count as being unquantifiable, three drops is neither here nor there.
Once I'm more confident with ratio's etc it may become easier but I don't know xPick one UK website and stick with it, so you don't have to cope with variations of nutritional information quoted by different websites.
I'm not underestimating your mental health issues, nor thinking it's just about food, just trying to help you compartmentalise and simplify.
I'm with you there. Worcestershire sauce all the way!According to myfitnesspal, having looked up various brands, it either says zero, because they've rounded it down for the amount you'd use, or 1g of carb per teaspoonful. Have to confess, I've never heard of it, I think my ancestors were from the wrong part of Yorkshire, though googling the history of it, it did have a Huddersfield connection at one point.Forget about Worcestershire sauce and get yourself some Henderson's Relish.(@Northerner will know what I'm on about). Similar looking bottle and colour to Worcestershire sauce but better and also suitable for veggies and vegans as it doesn't contain anchovies. If you're outside Sheffield/South Yorkshire you'll probably have to get it on mail order although if you're lucky you can find it further afield.
Okies I just permanently worry that something is going to go wrongKaylz. I don't bother carb counting for things that I only use tiny amounts of .
According to the Composition of Foods Integrated Dataset, cayenne pepper has 31.7grams of carbs per 100 grammes of weight which means that for each gram you sprikle on toast you'll be consuming just 0.317g of carbs. So you can be happy to sprinkle it on !! And heavily too 🙂Cayenne pepper contain carbs? looking for something to add to my cheese on toast for breakfast and don't know what to usex
Ok thanks AJ 🙂 xYou definitely do not need to worry about the carbs in spices x
