I will be there! Looking forward to meeting old and new friends.

I should be there too - for rail travellers - right next to Central Station.

That's good, got a bit lost last year!

I'd love to go too
11am is a good time as well

I will be there, looking forward to it

Train booked! Will "land" at Glasgow Central at 10.59. Hope to see the Scottish contingent there.

I should be able to make it, if I can arrange transport, so pencil me in, and I'll let you know if I can make it ASAP. Could be later today. I'd love to be there.

I will be at Glasgow queen street at 1050. Just a wee skip down the road to central. Looking forward to the day

Right gang, transport all arranged, I'll be there around 11.30. Coming via the scenic route, down through Glencoe, cos we'll be taking the Lochaline ferry. Sorted for the 6.10 ferry from Oban, so I'll have to leave by 3 ish. That's probably quite enough of me anyway.🙂

Will be great to meet you and Hazel and dollypolly.

By the way, Hazels comment that it's right by Glasgow Central is a Scottish "Right by" , a remark of the same family as the Scottish mile, which walkers will be familiar with.

Glasgow Central is on Gordon St. From the forecourt, go left. Turn left at Hope St (it's a T junction) and walk down Hope St till you come to Argyle St - it's the next junction. Turn right onto Argyle St, and there almost as soon as you turn is the Sir John Moore on your right. These roads are arrow straight, because Glasgow was built on a grid. It's only a four minute walk max.

For Carolg, just walk straight down Queen St until it bends into Argyle St, and the pub is a couple of hundred yards on the right. Traffic can't do that route, but I'm sure pedestrians can. To be honest, it's not much less distance than to aim for well signposted Central, and follow the above route.

Hazel is right, of course. A decent longbow man could plant an arrow on a passenger on platform 8 from there.😎

By the way, doing these routes by taxi will take longer. The one way system would test the patience of a saint.

Exit from the side onto Hope Street, cross to the other side walk about 400 yards turn right and you are there

Sorry, didn't know there was a side exit. Never needed to use it. (Course, Hazel would use it to avoid the temptation of the betting shops opposite Central Station forecourt).

Looks like it's not a good idea buying tickets at Glasgow Central. True story.

A Scottish expat from Canada was home to see his mum. He tried the ticket machine, but it wouldn't play ball so he went to the ticket office.

"I don't think that ticket machine likes me" he said.

"Lucky ye're no married to it, then" came the compassionate reply.

Everyone's a comedian in Glasgow. It can get rather wearing.🙄

I'm relatively new to this, still being in my first year after diagnosis, but I think I qualify to come along . I think it would be rude not to pop along seeing as I'm only along the road in East Kilbride. See you all there.

You'll be very welcome @Uller! 🙂

Hi Uller. Another Kilby, just like Hazel. You can prop each other up heading home after the pub.:D I see your footie club, after an astounding season, has lost its management team who've gone off the bright lights of Annan. That's nearly in England, but for a big river. There's no loyalty in football.🙄
