Thank you so much everyone for the good wishes.
The glaucoma laser has improved my eye pressures, not as much as I would like but they are no longer in the danger level, although the laser effects will wear off over time.
For the other current problem I've been advised to cover my left lens when using reading and computer glasses!! It appears that my brain is confused because the vision is bad in one eye but relatively speaking good in the other eye. Because the macula isn't good in my left eye it is trying to use the peripheral vision to "read" but doing it unsuccessfully so my brain is confused. With me so far??
I was sent away with tape to put over the left lens of my glasses - now that was depressing - so after searching around my craft room my eye patches now comprise of sparkly smiley stickers!!!
Very difficult getting used to the patch because it makes the covered eye feel like it is looking at a white patch but c'est la vie.

Awww sorry it hasn't improved as much as you'd hoped AJ but I'm glad it has improved and you are not in danger level, now where's these pics of the smart sparkly patches :D lol xxx

Thanks Grovesy. I'm glad you like the eye patch 🙂

Pleased you have some improvement Amanda. 🙂 Assuming the patch isn't permanent it'll be a nightmare getting the adhesive off the lenses when you remove the stickers won't it? 😱

Thanks Matt. Unfortunately at the moment it looks like the patch will be permanent unless they come up with another solution, but at the moment they haven't got any other suggestions. At least it's only for reading/computer work etc and not for distance glasses - then I would look an idiot walking along :D

Thank you Kaylz xxx Here is one patch :D The one on my computer glasses is the same but in purple/mauve shades :DView attachment 3252
Very nice if I ever need to customise anything I will be messaging you for inspiration :D xxx

Fancy patches there Amanda. Sorry there isn't another solution at the moment though.

Aww, typical you, making some fun out of a miserable situation Amanda! They're look very snazzy but I'm sorry you need the patch at all. Take care x

ThAnk you Stitch and Amigo. Got to focus on being snazzy :D

So finally some good news AJ...would have loved to hear no need for the eye patch...but...as you say c'est la vie.. good to see...Acid House Smileys live on...and are finally of some use...showing my age there...but...if anyone dare say 'arghh there Jim lad'...let them ave it...enjoy your weekend...take care.

Sorry to hear about your bad news AJ - but great to hear theres some improvement too - out of the danger zone - an added bonus - I love the eye patch - very glam indeed - just up your street eh?! So how about a photo of you wearing your suped-up specs?

I hope you manage to find a solution to continue with your writing - maybe a dictating machine (if they haven't gone out of fashion!) & your Mark type it for you then read it back to you - just a suggestion? Take care AJ x

Thank you Bubbsie. Enjoy your weekend as well.
Thank you Wirralass xx Nope I'm not posting a photo of me wearing them 🙂
Lovely suggestion about Mark typing up my notes but he is already much too busy with a pressurised job 🙂

Love the stickers! I really hope it improves things for you, take care x

because it makes the covered eye feel like it is looking at a white patch but c'est la vie.
This is how I have to read due to lazy eye. I can sympathise with you. Very offputting.

Thank you Lucy x Ditto I'm sorry that you have to read like this as well. Thank you for sympathising.
