So as you know i have been struggling with all of my health issues and not just the diabetes. Seen as i haven't updated i will do it now.
I am under the pain clinic to try new things which may or may not help with any/all of my pains from my disability injuries and the Fibromyalgia/ME. So far no matter what pain relief they give me, when i am in the severe pain, nothing works. So i literally just have to suffer. But they do work on the mild to moderate pain, so that's better than nothing.
My anxiety is doing better, still deal with it for many things but in some areas it is getting better.
Diabetes, well my latest HB1AC was 73 up from 57. However we are not surprised because with the above health issues and others which i won't go into they are impact each other and my "official" gp is trying to treat just one and not look at the bigger picture. However the last gp i saw actually understand there is more than one thing going on here, wasn't worried about the hb1ac result and that we need to look at everything. Before she made changes i took 90% of my diabetes meds (Metformin, Gliclazide and Alogliptin) in the am and only Metformin on an evening. It just seemed odd.
So now the change is we have taken my Metformin 2 in a morning and 2 at night away, and gone on the slow release Metformin 2 in the afternoon. So all my 2000mg of Metformin then. I take my Alogliptin and 1 Gliclazide in then am. The new Metformin on an afternoon and 1 Gliclazide in the evening. We shall see how that goes for a few months as i have a few pills i need to wean off for the Fibromyalgia and new ones to try out. So we are giving it 6 months for all the changes and see what happens.
So that's the "short" update in general. I know i have been away from the forums a lot over recent months but with everything going on i have just been trying to get a handle on everything, learn to listen to my body and take a whole new approach to the life changes. But i'm hoping to get back into the forum and catch up with everyone in the coming weeks 🙂
