Are you experiencing the fast heart rate at the same time as the false hypo's hun, when I've had a hypo my chest goes crazy x

I have had hypos where i felt like i was having a panic attack, so i think it is possible it possible with a false one.

I've had both real and false hypos and one of my symptoms is a racing heart. However a symptom of stress and anxiety can also be a racing heart, but with a hypo I feel super shakey, sick and vision is blurred and sweat.

I do experience fast heart rate during false hypo and i get that but i have been experiencing outside that i had a really bad time acceping the insulin and have had like panic attacks i think i just must be acute anxiety feels horrible, went to doctors said more than likley stress i have a demanding job on top of it was going to give beta blockers what ever they were but would affect my DB so as im not stable turned them down, its even worse when i have had a drink (i know i know) drinking just to hide i guess gives me a breather from life x

I have betablockers and they don't seem to cause any lows for me, but they can make you a bit woozy sometimes

I don't understand what you mean by when you have a drink (I know I know) everyone is entitled to do what they want to relax and or unwind, I personally don't drink much anymore - a glass of vodka and diet coke, that's as far as I go now and that's very rare maybe a Saturday with my tea but that's cause I'm scared of the effects it may have during the night etc (just don't go overboard on the drink I'm not lecturing you but there are people that care about you and need you to be at your best, hell I don't even know you very well but I care 🙂, how often are you experiencing it, is there anything you could do to relax a bit more, have you thought about breathing exercises etc hun x

After a drink anxiety can be heightened, my friend used to call it 'the beer fear'.

Mindfulness can be helpful. Can you ask your gp if they can arrange some talking therapy such as counseling or CBT instead of drug therapy? If you see DSN at hospital they might be able to arrange help, my DSN has told me psychological help is available if I need it.

Sounds like you need to see a specialist Diabetic Psychologist, it is worth asking your team about it.
