Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hi all, new to this forum but have been type 1 for 25 years now. They were dark days when first diagnosed as had to give up my job as a Captain in the MN. But, here we are now, a pensioner but still actively employed (this is what keeps me fit as not a gym person) just had annual MOT and all figures very good. Still have some "down in the dumps" day though but not sure if that is the diabetes or life in general !

Hi @Hamness, welcome to the forum 🙂 Good to hear you are able to manage things well, what insulin regime are you on? If I get a 'down' day or two I do have to remind myself that non-diabetics get them too, so I shouldn't automatically blame the diabetes!

I look forward to hearing more from you 🙂

Lispro 3/4 times daily and Insulatard twice a day.

Hi Hamness and welcome! 🙂
Sounds like you're doing well. I'm type 2 and like most of us have good and not so good days!
Diabetes or life? Who knows 😉

Welcome Hamness from a T2 who's 2 years in.

Welcome.
We all have down in the dumps days or in my case weeks.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Hello and welcome Hamness. 🙂 The only time I feel down is when I realise that's another week I haven't won the UK Lotto. 🙄 Kudos on being 'actively employed' as I think a good routine is half the battle.
