Hi I'm into my porridge pots - mainly cherry and berry and cinnamon but I'm getting slightly bored of the same thing every morning just found some cinnamon toaster waffles with only 10g carbs per waffle just wondering if anybody had waffles, pancakes or crumpets etc and if it was ok to do so any help greatly appreciated as usual x

waffles, pancakes or crumpets etc
The danger is not so much the carbs (as you can take insulin to correct) but in the spikes in BG that these can cause, probably the best thing to do is to test to see what the results are.

A Martin has said, it is how quickly you BG rises that is the issue. This will differ for each of us and testing is the only way of knowing what suits you.

I know for me crumpets are very spiky, so if I do have one I deliver my insulin earlier for them (and find something to do to stop me eating it too soon. The thought of a crumpet dripping wit butter and just a small amount of marmite is sooooooo tempting).
