So i was at the doc's today

Nothing major just had to get some more metformin as the last doc had not pt them on repeat for me :( anyway while i was there i asked what my last Hba1c result was back in january when i had made no changes to my eating and it was 59 apparently this doc thinks 48ish would be a better figure.
So is 59 a bad figure or a general middle of the road figure?

i have also managed to get an appointment to get my bloods done next week aswell i almost had a hypo when they said there was an appointment on one of my rest days 🙂
 
Hi Chilli, 59 is not bad, but the aim is to try and get it below 48 if possible because at 48 or below the risks of diabetes complications are significantly reduced and not much greater than the non-diabetic population 🙂 Are you sure they weren't playing a cruel trick on you about the appointment? 😉

Well done on getting an appointment when you wanted it. I actually drove to my surgery yesterday to make an appointment with my DSN, because I couldn't get through on the phone. The very earliest was 14th July! I am at work that day but couldn't turn it down, will have to speak nice to my boss!

That is outrageous, things have really got so much worse :( I read that time waiting for appointments has increased by 30% in the last year alone and I can certainly believe it :( We are simply not paying enough for the service we need, but this government (and the Coalition) just refuse to raise taxes to provide for it. It is so obvious that they are running the service into the ground to discredit it, makes me so mad :( 😡
