First time since diagnosis but thought I would try one and see what it did. A thin crust pizza from Sainsburys and I have always given the outer crusts to the dogs. Test result after 2 hours 8.2 so very pleased with that and know I can have one every so often 🙂🙂🙂

Pizzas can sometimes give you a delayed rise in levels Val, it would probably be worth doing a test before bed as well, to see if levels have started to settle back or risen. We did a 'food experiment' on the forum once, if you'd like to see what sort of results others have had from pizzas:

Doesn't mean they are off the menu as an occasional treat even if your levels do go a bit higher 🙂

Thanks for that Alan. Interesting reading. Just done another test 4 hours after pizza and down to 6.7 so I guess I am ok with it 🙂

I had a slice of pizza on holiday. It took 3 hours to peak. It was higher than I'm happy with, but not as bad as i thought it would be. I peaked at 7.6 though l don't know what l was before, though usually I'm the mid 5's before lunch.

Last time I had pizza it took 14 hours before it stopped messing up my blood sugars. I havent eaten pizza since...

Last time we had Pizza I have no idea what my BG was doing, particularly as we were doing some serious partying with friends who we hadn't seen for 10 years!!!!
