Just bought some of these and they are delish! Just wondered if anyone knows what makes them high protein and low carb? Just curious.

I've just bought some too, I think it's the flax seed that makes them high protein low carb. Somewhere online I found a link to the nutritional information, but I can't find it now, someone had posted it on Facebook at the time. (Lidl normally tell you to ask in store)

I bought two yesterday. They take some chewing. I wont be buying anymore though.

Thanks Robin, that's really helpful.
Austin Mini, I love the chewy texture. Hope you find something you like!

Apparently they are nicer if you zap them in the microwave for 30 - 50 seconds, they have more of a doughy texture when warm. Not tried them myself though, on the to-do list!

I have been looking for these in my local Lidl and today for the first time they had them. I like them, and am looking forward to cheese on toast for the first time in years!
I bought quite a few and have stuck them in the freezer in case they don't have them again for a while.
I tested before at 3.8 so didn't bolus, after half an hour no change at all, after 90 minutes up to 6.7 so it looks like I'll need to cover the protein with a bolus.

I really like the lidl rolls. I only manage half of one at a meal as they are so big. Very enjoyable, and is sometimes slice my half into three skinny slices and toast them. I just buy a bag full when I can get them, cut each in half and freeze.

I like the smaller size now. More manageable & lower carb.

Some great make your own protein ball recipes on Google. Easy, cheap and tasty.
Make a week's worth every Sunday usually last till about Friday.🙂

They used to be around 120g, but varied between 100g-130g. Now they are between 80g & 100g. Same price, though.
