First Easter as a diabetic. This is going to be hard! I would normally wolf down a whole egg plus its contents in one sitting! I think the missus will get me a Green & Blacks one this year. It will have to last me til Christmas.😱

For me Easter will be a doddle!

Just make sure you don't wolf down one of these from well meaning friends otherwise you'll be on the bog all day. 😱

It's ok, I'm sorted. Wife will get me a selection of 100% cocoa choccys from Hotel Chocolat.🙂

I'm genuinely looking forward to the teeny tiny Lindt Bunny I've decided to allow myself as a treat for Easter. sad!

I'm definitely not looking forward to Easter :( Mum has already bought me quite a few eggs which are now gonna go to waste as I'm probably only allowed one, she says that she's gonna buy me other stuff though which isn't food related like bath bombs and bracelets woo

I have a Green & Blacks one hidden in the cupboard which will last me a week or two, though definitely not till Christmas.

I'm going to have a large egg, and I'm going to enjoy it. :D It'll be only one of two days in a year for such indulgence, the other being xmas, so I figure long term it's going to make next to no difference

Ooh I'll be having some hotel chocolat treats. Never really bonded with eggs at Easter though, my brother used to eat mine when I was a kid because he'd practically inhale his on Easter Sunday and mine would still be in the Tupperware dish or in the boxes for months afterwards. I didn't succumb to the lure of chocolate till I discovered real chocolate, none of the Cadbury muck for me, minimum 60% cocoa solids :D

I could take or leave the chocolate eggs, but I'm going to miss Hot Cross Buns!

Ive told any friends that want to get me an easter pressie to get me bath stuff from Lush.

AndBreathe, do you do any of the baking recipes on this site? (Which I also love btw). I have a problem with finding psyllium husks except v. expensive, online. Any thoughts, anyone?

I don't bother to bake for myself, as "before" I'd bake, but only have a small amount; say a cheese scone or one portion of cake, once in a while, so when I still bake, it tends to be the "real thing" for MrB and/or friends and family.

I've just had a look elsewhere, where this topic has been discussed a few times, and lots of people seem to buy their psyllium and alternative flours, etc., here: http://www.bulkpowders.co.uk/psyllium-husks-powder.html . They seem to get a decent reputation for quality and service.

Easter no problem for me. They've not bought me eggs for years as they see them still sitting there in July. I may have a small choc bunny too.

You'll get to enjoy those non food treats! Also they last longer.:D

I'm looking forward to a bit of Easter egg action this year. It's full steam ahead on preparing the reno house for fitting the kitchen - lots of activities involving waving my arms around (hoovering, mopping, painting...) which always drop my BG like a stone. Solution? Small amounts of Easter egg taken at regular intervals.😛
