Just thought I'd share a snack I just invented. As the wife has fallen asleep, & I was hungry, I wrapped a piece of cheese in a slice of pepperoni and it was lovely. I do cook as well, it's just that the missus has planned something for tonight and didn't want to get in her way.:D

Sounds good, I think Ive got some red leicester in the fridge will give it a go later.

You can buy these ready made, with various cold meats and a variety of cheeses here. I don't know about in UK though.[/QUOTE]

To make it 'healthy', you could try wrapping the cheese and or pepperoni in a lettuce leaf - make a bread free sandwich 🙂 (a couple of baby gem leaves works best for this as they keep their shape)

OOooo Annette - you have just reminded me about 'Lettuce Burgers' Take a large leaf of lettuce and place a slice of cheese in the 'cup' of the lettuce. Add cooked burger and another slice of cheese - perhaps a dash of mayo and fold over the lettuce to make a parcel. Very refreshing 😎

Oh and cheese and ham roll-ups - slice of ham with a slice of cheese (my preference is for gouda - ready sliced from Aldi) roll up the two together and munch away *slurp*
