Anybody watched this prog on ITV?
6 celebrities live on a farm and work the farm for their 'strict' sugar free diet.
Jennifer Ellison has to receive medical attention due to the lack of sugar!

Interesting but I can't find any list of the diet. The first week is very restrictive (2nd week is being shown on 2nd Feb) with no fruit and no alcohol and of course no sugar, this was supposed to train you off the taste of sugar.

I could see no explanation why they use so many tomatoes - are they not fruit? and nearly 5g sugar per tomato.

Interesting Pizza base made with a mix of wholewheat flour (cause it doesn't raise your BG as fast as white) and cauliflower. No raising agent, which I feel would have made it a bit more edible.

I saw that programme. It's funny how they forget about tomatoes. I'm ok with tomatoes, no major BG spikes.

I found it interesting that having to go without alcohol seems to be a major issue for some of them, especially Jane. I enjoyed this programme though I am sure there will be "experts" out there who will find fault. I look forward to next week and like yourself Vic I would like some recipes.

Knowledge tells us tomato is a fruit, wisdom tells us when to use it. Not everyone has the knowledge or wisdom to know the tomato is a fruit because it is always served with savoury dishes.

Haven't seen the programme but the diet sounds very restrictive as sugar is found in so many things, including bread and pickles.

I've been watching this...per and post diagnosis. I had no idea I was diabetic when instsrted watching it. Now I'm watching itneith fresh eyes.....fascinating!!!!!
You could wonder the chase blokey has no guilt stealing that bread lol

I've watched the programme and must admit to not knowing who most of the celbs are but have gathered the very tall wide chap is a quizmaster came to the conclusion though that for an intelligent man he is remarkably stupid.

I agree pumper-sue.he seems to have the biggest portions and leaves the food. Don't think his values in the group are portrayed very well. Maybe all to make the show "interesting" or controvertial
