Anyone taking this. I believe it's causing me major problems with my Kidney's, Bladder and given me a UTI. Got a Flexible Cystoscopy on Wednesday. Been on the Diabetes.co.uk website to read up on it, I'm not happy with what I've found.

Waiting for Doctors to open, lunch break at mo, to speak to a Dr or make an appointment a.s.a.p.

Got an appointment for 4:15 today.

Should read Forxiga.

Well that was a waste of time. Keeping taking the pills until we get the results from the Cystoscopy. Then, next week, make an appointment with the Dr who deals with all things Diabetes. 😡

Sorry to hear you didn't get any answers today, Old Holborn. Good luck with the doctor next week. 😱

All giflozins need a lot of monitoring because they work by excreting sugar through the kidney. Sugar in the urinary tract can be a problem for some people.
I was scared stiff when I read the possible side effects of my gliflozin, but so far no contra indications, and two new holes in my belt demonstrate a steady loss in weight.

Hope they manage to sort it out, I've just read some of the side effects and they do sound quite scary. Fingers crossed they can find something else that works for you. Good luck 😱

Had the Cystoscopy exam this morning, nothing obvious found but due to the cloudiness if my Urine the Dr can't give a definitive answer. He said the only way to get a clear view is for me to put under a general anaesthetic so they can have a good prod about. :( Asked for it to be done next year as I'm fed up with trips to and from the Doctors and Hospital this year.

I mentioned to him about my apprehension with Forxiga, he had never heard of it so looked it up on the web. He said it sounds quite a powerful drug and suggested I speak to my Dr about my fears.

Saturday morning had a very bad show of blood in my urine so made an online appointment with my Diabetes Dr for Monday morning. Saturday night, whilst watching TV, my nose ran, blew my nose, tissue was soaked in blood. First nose bleed I've had in over 40 years.

Doctor agreed to me stopping the Forxiga to see if blood in urine clears. After probing my nose he couldn't find any problem, possibly a broken blood vessel.

Monday afternoon went to Eastbourne Hospital for Pre-assessment for General Anaesthetic op for Rigid Cystoscopy. Failed assessment due to heart problems so will probably have to have an Epidural. Waiting for letter from Consultant to see if it will be done.

And to put the lid on things I ended up in a wheelchair to get to the department in the hospital. The walk from the main entrance to the department was so far it played havoc with my sciatica, got to a point where I couldn't walk any further. This is the first time I've had to use a wheelchair.

So all is all Monday was a s**t day to be topped with £80 taxi fares!

Ack! Really sorry to hear this OH :( I hope they can sort things out soon for you.
