Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hey folks! How goes? I'm one of the new kids on the block, but not a new diabetic... but to say that i'm struggling would be an understatement! So, yeah, just showing my face here and hoping to meet some great people (I know no other diabetics apart from my mum's b/f (type2)).

Also, anyone else struggling with their Lantus? Any advice would be great! Cheers!! xx

Hey kirstah
Welcome to the forum. What's the problem with the Lantus (I have a love hate relationship with it 🙂)?

hey guys! Thanks 🙂

Well, i've been diabetic for 14 years (wow..) and I've always been low in AM and high in PM and have incredibly random 3rd degree hypos (is that the right terminology?)

And about the lantus, half the time i swear its just disappeared from my body and other times its like I've given a double dose (i tend not to fiddle too much with the lantus.. was advised not to) but without fail, every injection feels like liquid fire...

Hi Kirstah. Welcome to the forum. I don't really have any issues with lantus except that it stings.

Have you considered changing to levemir from lantus Kirstah? Or even a pump to help you with your problems? 🙂
