hi ali glad to see you kept your oatmeal down ...i would image you need small amount at a time good luck with the chicken hope they dont drown it in a sauce x

Sorry to hear this :( I hope that the chicken is nice and palatable, and provides you with your first decent meal for days! Ridiculous that they should argue with you about things you know you are allergic to!

Get well soon, and hopefully home sweet home tomorrow 🙂

Glad the op went well. Hopefully you will be hone soon and get a good looking after with the right foods xxx

Just got home about an hour ago with lots of little cartons of fortified juice and a very short list of things I can eat. I have to go back in one day next week so they can try me out on something to aid the gastric process under close observation (in case of allergies), they wouldn?t do it right away because my stomach is a mess and my allergic reactions are often gastric in nature.

I?ll be living on soup for a while and my neighbour (bless her) has delivered a couple of dozen individual portions she made and froze for me. I also have a supply of things like cauli and cheese I might be able to get way with, that should be easy enough to digest I think. I?m thinking about food all the time at the moment, but when it comes time, I?m full after a few mouthfuls. I?ve lost over a stone and a half in less than a week (my trousers keep falling down!), I should be cheering but I know from past experience I'll put it all back again.

I'm glad to be home.

Glad your back on home turf Alison, rest up and back to full health for you soon I hope x

I wanted to say this bit separately.

Thank you all for your unstinting support. If I could nominate you all for hero status, I would. You cannot begin to understand how much it has meant to me to have you all rooting for me.

I'm so glad that you are home and I hope you feel much, much better soon. Great that you have such a good neighbour too, there are not many around like that these days. Take care.

Really pleased to hear you are home Ally! :D And what a lovely neighbour to do that for you! I hope you sleep peacefully tonight in your own bed and wake feeling much refreshed in the morning 🙂

Me too, sleep well and long - there is nothing like your own bed - I have to be surgically removed from mine each morning - especially as since now it is SO cold - yes, even in Spain it gets very cold this time of year.

I know :D, my OH is from the Basque Country near Irun.

so glad your home ali xx take care and i reckon the homemade soup its just what you need ...what a nice neighbour x

Alison, great you are home now and yes, what a lovely neighbour!

Michael, it doesn't matter where you are, our house is toasty with the heating on now but anyway even in summer, I have to be scraped off the mattress on a daily basis.

Years ago my dad used to tip my mattress up and deposit me on the floor at times! (his job to get Jen up for work before he went out to work as too much hassle for my mother first thing!)

Pleased to see you are home now & on the mend Alison, good luck with the soup diet :D

Glad to hear you're home again 🙂. And if more people were as nice as your neighbour the world would be a better place!

Ali

So glad to hear you are home! I spent years with gastric upsets and sore throats as a result of them. Not something I'd wish on anyone. More or less when I got diagnosed with D all the gastric stuff disappeared. Not sure why, change of diet maybe?

Hope that you heal well and don't have any ongoing issues.

So glad you're home Ally. I bet your lovely neighbour would be delighted and flattered if you were to ask for more soup (I know I would) so don't be afraid to ask if you're not up to making it yourself. Take care. x

Already take care of, she's taking me shopping for supplies tomorrow and planning another big cook in at the weekend.

What a lovely neighbour. I hope you will be back to your old self really soon x
