It gradually went up during the night which I fully expected after 70% TBR, 3 jelly babies and an hour off the pump. I woke at 15.3 so put the TBR back to normal - this was only an hour ago but it has already dropped from 15.3 to 13

Well, far from ideal, but glad to hear it didn't continue to fall. You do seem to have developed a greater sensitivity to the insulin for some reason, I hope today brings some answers and solutions to try 🙂

Thank you Alan🙂

It sounds to me as if your basal needs have just changed, so best option is stock up on the SF jelly and do a complete basal test and reset everything.

Thanks Sue I hope that you're right

Hope your appointment went well today, mine was a wash out. :( ended up with a early mild hypo of 3.8.

I'm sorry to read all this Amanda - you poor thing. Hope today's appt is a real help and this can be easily resolved.xxx

Sorry to hear about your appt Pav.

Thanks Pav and Flutterby xxx DSN has said that the consultant wants to see me but they might not have an appointment until January but they are going to try to get something sooner. THe DSN went through all of my results including two days of near basal testing and agreeing that there is no pattern to the drops. As a result she has reduced my basal to 70%, increased the mount of carbs that I have per unit of insulin and reduced the correction doses. Now it's a case of wait and see.

I hope that this helps the situation Amanda, it sounds like a good plan 🙂 I know consultants are busy people, but January would be a long time to wait when you have an acute problem like this - hope you get something much sooner!

I hope the changes work Amanda, and you can get to see the consultant sooner than January.

Thank you Alison and Alan. THe DSN said that she is going to do everything she can to get me an earlier appointment - part of the problem is that for various reasons the consultant doesn't have any clinics in November.

A bit of me hopes you will get lots of high results, put it back to how it was and all will be well again - not wishing highs on you, but you know what I mean. Lots of love.x

I know exactly what you mean Karen xx

Hi Amanda,

I cant remember now but did you ever get tested for coeliac? Your symptoms are very similar - lots of unexplained prolonged lows.:(🙂Bev

Hi Bev thanks for this. The GP didn't think it appropriate to test for coeliac but we shall see what the consultant says when I see her.

Ah Amanda...I really hope the tweaks work...I guess on the positive side, if the DSN didn't think the tweaks would help then if she's anything like the good'uns round here she'd have wrangled an urgent appt? 🙂 (& she sounds like a good'un!). Take it easy, be gentle on yourself. Xx

Thanks Twitchy. She said that she was going to do everything that she can to get me an earlier appointment 🙂 xx

Hi Amanda,

Do keep on at them - there are sometimes no symptoms and lots of people go undiagnosed sadly. A blood test doesnt always show a positive result either - only a biopsy can give a definate answer.🙂Bev
