Got the HbA result. Was I right, did it go up? Or did it go down?

defo lower ...going by the current trends ..😉

And the answer is...

Up I'm afraid, though not as much as I feared. My HbA this time was 6.7.

The consultant has reduced my night time insulin and told me to increase my day time doses so I'll be spreading it out more throughout the day, which he hopes will give me a more stable profile and reduce the hypos. If not, he says we'll consider a more 'aggressive' insulin regime... Whatever that means.

BP, was fine and I've mislaid a kilo since last week *same boots, so it's not that :D).

What insulins are you on Alison?

Just the one at the moment. A Medium acting one called Humulin I. It seems to suit me, at least for now.

Ah, don't know much about Humulin I. I guess he means basal/bolus when he says "more aggressive".
