Just had my review today my hb1 thingy is up a bit, weight down and nurse gave me a contour xt meter and said strips would be add to my repeat sricp . Do not know how many strips I'll get and got told to test four times a day has anyone got this meter just downloaded the software and ordered a cable for it.

Well, that sounds positive Donald. Haven't used that meter but I know we have a few members who have. I've just started using the Contour Next meter. Software looks good - think it's the same as for the Contour 🙂

Well done on the weight reduction - hope using the meter will help you to make some informed choices about your diet and help to lower your bA1c for the next time 🙂

The software is Glucofacts Deluxe now waiting for the cable to connect to the computer. will give it a go anyway.

Sounds like you are heading in the right direction 🙂 it's good you have strips on repeat prescription to, how come you have to test 4 times a day? just being nosy! :D

As northerner says it the same software as the next usb. You can switch the meter into two modes basic meter and advanced mode, in the advanced mode you can add pre defined flags to the test result, like before / after meal.

The freebie case that you can order, is stronger than the one provided with the meter and comes in a choice of patterns.

I asked about after meals but was told before meals was fine, so that is before breakfast lunch dinner then at bedtime. I'll see how much I get before I decide what next, .
